Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic lung disease that restricts your ability to breathe. You may have trouble breathing, frequent coughing, and wheezing. If you have COPD, you may have Emphysema and chronic bronchitis, also, as these conditions contribute to COPD.
COPD worsens over time and sometimes it affects a person’s ability to work. This is particularly true if their job requires a lot of standing, walking, and carrying. As the condition progresses, you are likely to feel tired, suffer from frequent respiratory infections, and you may have swelling in your feet and legs. These symptoms make it difficult to be on your feet and working all day.
If you have COPD and are no longer able to keep up at work, contact us about filing for Social Security Disability. Call us at 205-879-3033 or email us at LifeHealth@FriedmanFirmPC.com
