If your spouse dies from a service connected condition, you may be entitled to survivor benefits from the VA. The VA looks at the death certificate, which usually list the primary cause of death and two secondary causes of death. Don't be discouraged if the service connected condition is not listed on the death certificate. Often the treating physician will help make the connection.

If you have any questions about disability from the VA or about survivor's benefits, please give us a call at 205-879-3033.
