One Accident/Injury Might Lead to Multiple VA Claims

By Douglas I. Friedman of Friedman Law Firm, P.C.

A lot of veterans experience several injuries stemming from one incident such as falling off a tank or falling from a helicopter. It could be something simpler-- like falling down the stairs or falling to the floor because you tripped over something. These injuries can cause injury to one part of the body or they can involve many parts. When an injury involves one part of the body, like your wrist, think about all the different things that may be involved. The wrist is a very complicated joint--;  you have your fingers, your nerves, and each one of those things is entitled to a separate disability rating. It's not always intuitive. Sometimes you just have know what the rating schedule requires. At Friedman Law Firm, we know how to think through these injuries and know how to maximize your benefit.
