Douglas I. Friedman will speak at Protective Life's Annual Compliance Seminar in Birmingham, Alabama on October 26, 2007. Mr. Friedman's session will address appropriate considerations for in-house counsel as insurers evaluate sales concepts for compliance purposes. Specifically, Mr. Friedman will discuss whether insurers should endorse concepts for their fields or simply offer their products. In addition, Mr. Friedman will speak about the ways in which differences in the sizes and approaches of insurers should affect their outcomes.
