Friedman Law Firm, PC, is honored to be named one of the "Best Law Firms" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2021 ranking . We were recognized nationally for our ERISA Litigation work. At the Regional Level, we received awards in three categories: Insurance Law, Litigation-ERISA, and Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law. Law firms are selected for this list based upon top-level ratings from clients and peers, making this a particularly meaningful achievement for the firm.
Doug and Jessica Friedman Help Plan Conference on Life, Disability, and Health Insurance.

Last week, Doug and Jessica attended a meeting to plan for the yearly International Claim Association (ICA) conference.
Doug serves on a committee focusing on the Life Insurance industry. This committee is responsible for presenting sessions relevant to those working within the industry and educating them on changes. Doug agreed to speak on three topics at the conference. Doug will speak on the implications of the SECURE Act on life insurance sales and estate planning, divorce revocation statutes, and small life insurance claims.
Jessica serves on the Disability Committee. At the conference this fall, she will discuss her experience representing people in federal court for Social Security Disability. She will also write a series of blog posts regarding the ins and outs of federal court practice.

In August 2017, Jessica Friedman graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama Law School with a Master of Laws in Taxation. Ms. Friedman advises insurers, businesses, and individuals on planning issues related to taxation, including Corporate Tax, taxation of Partnerships, Executive Compensation, and Estate Planning.
