Applying for Disability with Scleroderma

A woman suffering with Scleroderma recently contacted me for help with her Social Security Disability case. Due to Scleroderma, she was experiencing shortness of breath. She had also been diagnosed with Reynaud’s syndrome, which often shows up in people with Scleroderma. Her ability to work was further complicated by the hand deformities resulting from the Reynaud’s. I expect that we will be able to prove to SSA that this woman is unable to work and we will win her Social Security Disability case.
Scleroderma, an auto-immune disease that mainly affects women, can attack your skin, connective tissue and internal organs by causing your body to make too much collagen protein. Due to the overproduction of collagen, your skin can get tight and scars can form on your lungs and kidneys. You may also experience painful swelling in your hands, fingers, and joints, among many other symptoms.
If you have been diagnosed with Scleroderma and would like to work with an attorney familiar with your condition, contact us for a consultation. Call 205-879-3033 or email LifeHealth@FriedmanFirmPC.com
